Introducing Kontrol into Your Home

Architects, Specifiers and construction professionals seeking the ‘one stop shop’ in insulation need look no further following the launch of a brand new range of multi-foil insulation by Kontrol Building Products.
 
Debuted at Interbuild 2007, Kontrol launched a new generation of multi-foils which have been hot box tested to meet the BR 443 requirements, have BBA certification and will address all the latest building regulations in order to gain approval by building control officers nationwide.
 
The Kontrol team were formally presented with their BBA Certification by Greg Cooper, BBA CEO, at the exhibition.

Kontrol offer various insulation solutions to suit different applications:

New Build

For New Build applications, BBA approved Kontrol Duo has been cleverly engineered to be used on its own so there is no secondary insulant required.
 
The Kontrol development team have created a truly unique system. By using 2 layers of the Kontrol Duo multi foil both above and below the rafters a U value of 0.2 can be achieved.  No other multi foil in the market is designed to be used in this two layer manner.
 
In trials, Kontrol Duo has proven to be up to 50% quicker to install compared to standard insulants with less mess, less waste and no health and safety issues.

Refurb

For refurb projects, the product of choice is BBA approved Kontrol R1.9. Designed to be used with a secondary insulant, this single layer solution offers a higher R Value at 1.9 meaning less of the secondary insulation is required, saving money and time in the application and without having to compromise on living space for the conversion. Many other insulants can be bulky and often require an extension to the rafter depth in order to meet the constantly changing and stringent building regulations.

Advanced Thermal Properties

The key to the advanced thermal properties is a scientifically developed microfibre wadding which, when combined with the low E metallised films, makes the product lightweight, versatile, airtight and flexible. Kontrol Building Products have set a new market precedent by optimising the core component of microfibre and therefore attain superior lambda values for the fibrous layers.
